A Post-Processor is a unique "driver" that is specific to a CNC machine, robot or mechanism; some machines start in different places or require additional motion between each operation, the Post-Processor works with the CAM software or off-line programming software to ensure that the G-Code output or program is correct for a specific Trademark machine Controller (Fanuc, Siemens-Sinumeric, Mazak-Mazatrol, Heidenhein, Deckel-Maho, etc. ).
CAM software uses geometry from a CAD model and converts it to G-code. The CAM software analyses the CAD model and determines which tools and milling paths will be used to mill the desired shapes. This requires a CAM post-processor that generates the exact G-code dialect used by the machine control module (Sinumeric, Fanuc, Mazatrol, Heidenhein, Toshiba etc.) being controlled. An instance of such a translation is often called a "post".
What is a post processor?
A postprocessor takes care of the translation of your CAM programme (toolpaths & corresponding settings) into G-codes that the control of your CNC machine or robot can read and understand.
Do you develop post processors for any CAM software?

Do your post processors also work with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Fadal, Mazatrol, Siemens, ... controllers?
Definitely! We can develop postprocessors for any type of control available on the market.
Why should a custom post processor be developed? / Do I need a custom post processor?
The installation of Siemens NX already includes numerous so-called out-of-the-box postprocessors for various controls. In addition, customers with an active maintenance contract have access to the online PostHub from Siemens.
However, customers often have specific requirements for the output of their NC code. Or they have a complex set-up of the CNC machine. This is where we come in with a tailor-made solution that ensures the most efficient NC code for your machine.
What does a customised postprocessor cost?
Each customised post processor is also a customised offer. So contact us to discuss your project and we will send you a tailor-made offer as soon as possible.
Are there standard free postprocessors for Siemens NX?
Yes. There are two sources for free post processors:
On the one hand, you have a bunch of PPs that are in the standard installation of NX for various controllers and include an NC machine simulation model.
On the other hand, customers with an active maintenance contract or Subscription also have access to the PostHub from Siemens. Here you can find hundreds of standard post processors, both free and for a fee.
